What We're Looking for:

* Writer's who grasp an understanding of our heartbeat desire for this ministry and can share their maturing Christian wisdom in a loving, clear and practical way.

* We are open and flexible. We consider all types of material: non-fiction, fiction, ongoing fiction, poetry, devotionals, columns, etc. Most of our articles are unsolicited. You send it, we will consider it.

* Passion. It was the passion of the Apostles Peter & Paul that ignited the early church. It is passion that will move and motivate today's church as well.

* We prefer a word count of 1100-1500 for most articles, no more than 1700 words. Devotionals may be shorter (no less than 700 words). Larger articles can be broken into parts.

Writer's Requirements:

1. You must be a professing Christian.
2. You do not have to be a professional or published author.
3. You should be in agreement with our statement of faith. Link Here
4. You should be agreeable to our mission statement which is: Encouraging Women to Live with Passion and Love for Jesus Christ Love the Lord your God with all your heart... soul... mind and... strength... Mark 12:30

What we need from you:

You do NOT need to send a query letter.

* A short written version of your Christian testimony. A paragraph or two will do nicely.

* A 2-3 sentence biography to be put at the end of your articles. Feel free to include your website address and/or ministry name. We will not publish email addresses because they frequently change and are easy fodder for spammers. Please make your biography tasteful and not simply advertisement for your site or ministry. Also note, it is not our practice to edit biographies after they are published. What's there is there and will continue to be there. Please choose your words wisely. We reserve the right to edit biographies.

* Send us your article in the email (if it has formatting you'd like to keep) or attached as a text file (saved in Windows Notepad - .txt ending.) Please do NOT send your articles via the United States Postal Service (for those who found our listing and address in the Christian Writer's Market Guide.) We ONLY accept articles digitally.

Response Guidelines, Permissions & Copyright Notes:

We welcome articles anytime, for any topic. We reserve the right to hold articles until the theme we feel it fits best with is published. We reserve the right to live life and skip publishing and issue or two if God is doing something in our lives.

Kindly give us 2-4 weeks for a reply to your submission. Liz and Janel publish the CWP as a non-paying ministry in their spare time - family comes first. If you have not heard from us in 5 weeks, please resubmit with the subject line of: Article Resubmission.

You retain all the copyrights to your articles, we use them "with permission" as reprints. The Christian Woman's Page assumes that we have your permission to publish any piece of written material submitted for our consideration. We also retain the right to reject any submission for any reason without explanation. If the article has been previously published, please be sure you own the rights before you send it to us.

Your article will remain published at the CWP until: it no longer fits with our mission; an unnamed reason appears calling for its removal; or you ask us to remove it. If you would like us to remove an article, please email us at cwpmag@verizon.net with Remove Article in the subject line. In your email please include the title of your article, CWP URL and reason for removal - to satisfy our curiosity given our personal involvement in the publication.

Payment, Lack Thereof:

We are unable to monetarily compensate for any articles submitted or published at the CWP, although we believe you will be paid in God Bucks. By donating your time and effort we feel you are:

...stor[ing] up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:20-21

All of the work accomplished at the Christian Woman's Page is done solely by donation. We strongly dislike advertising and simply don't have the time or inclination to run a negative profit business. We prayerfully choose to let God send us wonderful authors who generously give of themselves. For this we are very grateful.

We encourage every author to donate at least one article a year to a non-paying publication, whether printed or web, as an offering to the Lord.

Please do NOT send a query letter.
