This is for those of you women who feel lost in your role as wife and mother who are desperately trying to find yourselves in the role that you've been placed.

I feel there is a hidden attack on the home and it often begins at the heart. The heart of the home is the mother and this is where Satan begins the slow, but steady erosion process. Just as an unchecked down spouting on a house erodes the ground below, so it is with an unchecked spirit. Proverbs 14:1 says "The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands, the foolish one tears hers down.”

The enemy begins his attack by using the senses. A woman sees with her eyes "things" she thinks she is missing or what other women have. This is a covetous spirit.

He then directs his attention to her ears and the words she hears. Words such as "What do you do all day, aren't you bored?" "Those children need to be with other children their age." "Get out of the house and do something for yourself!" "Don't you feel embarrassed to say you're a housewife?" "Women, just don't stay home baking in the kitchen and taking care of their household today." "This is no longer the typical scenario in today's society."

Dear Sisters, we have been tricked into thinking our God-given role is of no importance for long enough. I encourage you to seek the Lord and his desires for your role. If you are struggling, I invite you to seek out an older woman to help you as you serve your family and make your house a home.
