Beautiful & Terrible

"Love is beautiful, but it is also terrible—terrible in that its determination to allow nothing blemished or unworthy to remain in the beloved."

I think this is true love. Only with Jesus will we ever find true love - no matter what the fairy tales say. Man will always disappoint woman because he is a sinner. Woman will always disappoint man because she is a sinner too. All we can do is to try and emulate Jesus the best that we can and hope that will be enough.

We can not change people. Only God can bring about change in a person’s life. If we truly love a person and want to see that person made beautiful, we need to leave it to God. He alone will be able to erase the blemishes and the character flaws. He will stop at nothing to see you or those you love made beautiful. True love will allow God to do whatever is necessary to bring about change and beauty in a loved one’s life and in your own. When you love GOD it can be scary, because you never know what we will have to do to you to take away the blemishes and bring beauty! That is where trust and the surrender come in, God DOES know best. I know I want the man I love to be as unblemished as he will allow God to make him.

Prayer: Lord, I know your love endures forever. You love me with such a great a passion that you want me to be made beautiful. It is your determination to erase the blemishes and replace worldly attitudes with godly ones making me beautiful on the inside. Lord, never let me fear this kind of love for myself and for those I love. I release myself to you to do to me what you think is best. Lord, I release my loved ones to you that you will remove their blemishes and impurities.
