"Oh my Lord, don’t let me leave thee. Entreat me not to leave thee nor
to return from following after thee."
The world holds out some very alluring and enticing bait. Trying to hook God’s people
into living in two places at once: the kingdom and the world. The world guarantees
only broken promises and dashed dreams. Yet, we are often tempted by all the glamour
and glitz and get sucked in. Once you are in, it is one sin after another, just
like King David.
King David seduced Bathsheba, after he seduced her, he had her husband killed and
things just went downhill for him. Before we ever get tempted cry out to God!!!
"Don’t let me fall in temptations way!!!" When we are tempted, don’t leave
him! He will not let you out of his sight, IF you agree to never WANT to be out
of his sight.
Prayer: Oh Lord there are so many temptations that are present today. Help
me to avoid them and only do what is right in your eyes. And dear Father, help me
to remember to cry out when I am tempted and let me remember that you will be there
for me in a flash.
