Weeds

"When you wear the weed of impatience in your heart instead of the flower Acceptance- with-Joy, you will always find your enemies get the advantage over you."

I don’t think impatience needs to be explained. We all suffer from it. Sometimes I believe God does delights in giving us more patience. As the quotation says, when are impatient and don’t accept with joy God’s will, we become susceptible to our enemies. These are usually the same enemies that harassed Much-Afraid: Resentment, Bitterness, Self-Pity and Pride. Yes, I know them all well. They are relatives I prefer to avoid, but they have a way of inviting themselves into my life. Impatience grows discontent, and discontent leads to an overrun of enemies. Accept with joy the need to be patient.

Prayer: God for some reason I am having a hard time waiting. My impatience is getting the better of me and my enemies are attacking. I feel like pulling my hair out! God pull out the weeds in my heart to make room for YOU. Give me strength to fight against Bitterness, Resentment, Pride… I want the victory over Impatience!
