"Oh Shepherd, to whom would I go? In all the world I have no one but you. Help me to follow you, even though it seems impossible. Help me to trust you as much as I long to love you." 

Jesus must be everything to you even if all we knew and loved was gone! If we were stranded on an island or locked in a jail cell or lost in the woods, we would still have all that we NEED. Can you honestly say, "Jesus you are all I need." If you can’t survive on Jesus alone, then you need to come to terms with that. It can be a very scary thing to trust God because he really could take everything away and test your commitment. But even if He did, who else could you run to? This was Much-Afraid’s prayer when she was asked to do what she didn’t think she could do. Many times we are asked to do things that WE don’t think we can do. But if Jesus is asking, He knows we CAN do it.

Prayer: Lord God in this crazy world you are the only thing that is orderly. You would never ask me to do anything that can’t be done with your help. I need you to be first in my life. To trust that you can lead me through anything. Lord if I am hiding from myself that there are others before you, convict my soul to give them up. You alone should be all I ever need. Bring me to my knees to see you as all I have in the world.
